The sun shines bright, the ocean breezes blow as the majestic palm trees gently sway overhead. The smell of coconut oil lingers in the air, as tanned beautiful bodies casually stroll by. A perfect tropical paradise, filled with deliciousness of freedom from the hectic everyday life. This is Miami Beach! When the sun sets to the west and the skies fill with stars, Miami Beach transforms into a hot, hip clubber’s delight. This city never sleeps; as live music can be enjoyed into the wee hours of the night and shaking your bones relieve all that pent up tension, from the stresses of life. A Miami Beach family vacation has something to offer everyone.
Miami’s Beaches are plentiful with many beautiful beaches to choose from for sunbathing, water sports, picnicking, fishing and boating. Miami Beach has been ranked by USA Today, Travel Channel and Surfrider Foundation as one of the best beaches. Offering family fun and thrilling water sports, these beaches have it all.
Sunny Isles Beach located on Collins Avenue is a two mile long white sandy beach. Fishing is availably here off the fishing pier. Concession stands offer cool drinks and snacks for the kids as well as volleyball, umbrella and beach chair rentals, water sports rentals and shower facilities. Sunny Isles Beach’s hotels are some of the most popular in the area.
Famous South Beach is the talk of the town. With this beach a favorite hang-out for celebrities, chances are you’ll spot someone famous here. Located along Collins Avenue at the southern tip this beach offers food and drink, chair rentals, water sports rentals and walking trails. This beach is a great spot to sit and watch the cruise ships sail in and out of the port.
This zoo is known to be one of the best zoos in the United States, and has many species of both animals and plants in its grounds. The new Amazon and Beyond exhibition will immerse you into a tropical world, and there is also a children’s zoo where you can get close to the animals, enjoy a camel ride and much more.
One of South Florida’s most popular tourist attraction, is a family-oriented marine-life park open to the public 365 days a year. The park provides visitors with a greater understanding and appreciation for marine life through shows, presentations and marine-life exhibits. Miami Childrens’ Museum
A is a non-profit educational institution, is dedicated to enriching the lives of all children by fostering a love of learning and enabling children to realize their highest potential. The Museum’s primary audience is children ages 0 to 8 years, their families, caregivers and educators
Located just off U.S. 1 in South Dade, Monkey Jungle is an innovator of many of the concepts currently seen in the design of zoological parks. It is home to nearly400 primates, most running free on a 30 acre reserve. It is one of the few protected habitats for endangered primates in the United States and the only one that the general public can explore.
Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens
Experience some of the beautiful exotic trees, orchids, flowers and rare palms in this 83 acre garden. Here you can take a tram ride to see South Florida best flora. There are sunken gardens, rain-forest exhibit, conservatory, rare plants and a created marsh that attracts migratory birds.
