BELIEVE IN YOURSELF...
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year! So, what resolutions have you adopted for this year? I wonder… in any case, I am sure this article will help you in achieving your goals because to accomplish your resolutions, you need to believe in yourself…
A few of us actually believe in ourselves. Many of us ignore the fact that the more we believe in ourselves, the healthier we are. Yes, you heard me right. Low self-esteem and inferiority complex can land you in a very difficult position where you are prone to high/low blood pressures, depression, stress and other ailments.
So, what is it that keeps you from believing in yourself? Is it work? Are the people around you responsible for what you think like today? Is it your family or is it your rational of being THE perfect person on earth? Analyze and evaluate yourself. After a short evaluation, think about why the cause is hindering the freedom you so rightly deserve? If work is the cause of your low self-esteem and belief, try to find a job where you can work freely.
A place where you can communicate your thoughts with your peers... A place where you are credited for the hard work you have done for them... A place where what you do is acknowledged and appreciated...
If the cause of your low-self esteem are the people around you, try avoid them as much as possible. If you can't avoid them, be prepared with answers to shoot at their face when they belittle you or humiliate you. Remember, no one is perfect. Though what world says may mean alot to you but remember, for a few people in your life, you are the world to them. Think about those who love you and encourage you everytime. Live your life to the fullest for them. People who know you and encourage you for everything are the ones who love you the most. Even if they give you a negative response over something, take it. They want the best for you and can't see you in trouble or pain.
Overall, your key to believing in yourself is an optimistic and challenging attitude. If it's your work that people criticize, show them what you are. Don't think yourself less than an expert and show your best. At the end, you are the hero.
If it's your body you feel that people are criticizing, irritate them as much as you can and then work your way to your goals. For instance, you are obese and people make fun of you. Well, hang around them, eat in front of them and make THEM feel uncomfortable. (Lots of laughs!). I know this is a really weird advice but it works if you are bold enough to do this. When people have stopped passing comments, work your way to your goal and shed those extra pounds- Your Way. The next moment you will observe that these people are actually shocked! I love it when people stare at me whenever there is a big change as they never expected it to happen! It's a really good feeling! To be more specific about this, it's like sitting on the ninth cloud!
Why all this in a Naturopathy health section? We believe in promoting health through mind first and body later. Unless you believe in yourself, an equilibrium cannot be established. Mind and body go hand-in-hand. We naturopaths evaluate your minds first and your bodies later.
I spent some time on myself. It took time me some time to understand the inner me... It was then I realized how important it is to maintain the inner you and way you live. Today, I am a different person as to what I was before...
I have an aim to live for...
A prayer to say for someone...
To live for those who love me...
Start the quest of who you are and your aim... it takes time but it is definitely worth it. My key to good health and living healthy is liberting the inner me. Take your time... I am sure it will help you accomplish your new year resolutions ( a wink!)
So, what is it going to be for you? Mind or body? ;-)
As I always say... Give what your body truly needs and only you know what is best for you- not your doctor…
