As the summer sun gives way to changing leaves, kids start to gearing up for Halloween. Along with costumes, tricks, and treats, include some reading activities in your Halloween agenda! It’s a perfect read aloud time for all ages. Here’s BIG list of spooky story selections that are sure to please your little goblins!

Happy Sparkling Halloween (Sparkling Stories) by Elizabeth Spurr and Colleen Madden. Sparkly delights accent traditional Halloween scenes in a perfect board book for the littlest tick o’ treater!

Big Pumpkin by Erica Silverman and S.D. Schindler . What’s a witch to do when her pumpkin is just too big? Halloween with a humorous twist and beautiful illustrations make Big Pumpkin a holiday favorite.

City Witch, Country Switch by Wendy Wax and Scott Gibala-Broxholm. A bewitching twist on the classic tale of The City Mouse and the Country Mouse, Mitzi and Muffletump learn to appreciate each other in spite of their differences.
