Like A Maccabee - This middle-grade chapter book tells the story of Ben, a 10-year-old boy who is gearing up for a championship soccer game while adjusting to the changes in his family that have occurred since his grandfather moved in. Ben faces challenges at school, including the bully from the opposing soccer team, and frustrations at home.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2

Fans of the first Beverly Hills Chihuahua movie and anyone who can’t resist playful puppies will smile through the antics of Papi, Chloe and their adorable litter. The theme of loyalty and love is heartwarming, as the pups seek to help their human family. If you have a dog who enjoys a good show, let him up on the coach for this one! Frolicking fun for the whole family. George Lopez as the voice of Papi is an undeniable treat.

Nanny McPhee Returns

Who can resist another visit from the most magical nanny in the world? Set in the World War II era, poor young mom struggles to care for her family when her husband if off at war when the charming yet unattractive Nanny McPhee arrives to help out with the children. The rivalry between the kids and their spoiled cousins brings just the right amount of tension. Silliness abounds in spite of family’s hard times. Emma Thompson is a truly believable Nanny and Maggie Gyllenhaal is a most sympathetic you mother.

Secretariat

Diane Lane and John Malkovich star in this inspiring story of the world’s most well-known race horse. There is plenty of excitement in the racing scenes and enough tension to keep viewers of all ages engaged. The photography is stellar and captures the majestic beauty of horses. In true Disney fashion, there is a sense of enchantment in the film that may somewhat sugarcoat the world of horse racing, but is appropriately balanced to encourage family discussion with older kids.

Sneak Peek for Next Month - Tangled will be available at the end of March.
