I am excited to be part of Families On-Line. As you get to know me, I hope you will learn quickly that I serve more as a coach and guide, than a know-it-all authority.
Through my over 20 years of medical practice, I have gained plenty of practical experience to go along with my overall knowledge and keeping up with the fast paced field of medical research. But with that experience comes a great deal of humility; as I have seen, over and over again, that what we think we know in medicine and what the textbook and research tells us, often does not translate into an individual’s circumstance.
Alternative methods don’t threaten me and I will never ridicule or judge someone’s beliefs. One thing you will see is that I live by the mantra, “vulnerability is my greatest asset.” As I share with you my personal experiences and challenges, I know that it can help you deal with yours.

To be sure, life deals us many challenges. I have always believed that to live a truly fulfilled, healthy life, balance is essential. For me, that balance involves recognition and nurturing of mind, body, and spirit. William Londen summed it up when he wrote, “To insure good health: eat lightly, breathe deeply, live moderately, cultivate cheerfulness, and maintain an interest in life.”
