It’s finally here! Great spring and early summer weather has arrived just in time for the end of the school year… and just about the time that everyone is getting out their summer clothes and sandals, a notice comes home from school with lots of warnings about what kids should not be wearing. Schools often address everything from shoes to shirts in the springtime- not because they’re anti-summer, but because there are real safety concerns about some summertime clothing. Before you get angry about being told what your child can and cannot wear this year, here is a behind-the-scenes look at the top two concerns schools must address in the dress code that often baffle parents:
