Community Foundations - list foundations which give to local organizations
Private foundations, corporate giving programs - foundations throughout the U.S. that have web sites.
Presbyterian church - Local Presbytery's have Mission Committees which have provided ACES chapters grants. Please do not apply to the Presbyterian National Hunger Fund they already fund us.
Catholic Church, Campaign for Human Development, CCHD Program provides local grants. contact you local CCHD representative and ask for a local grant application - some dioceses only give money nationally - please do not apply for national funding, our national staff may already be doing that!
Volunteers Guide: How to Raise $500+ fast and easy
1. Hold a car wash - Ask you local Circle K or 7-11 to let you wash cars in their parking lot. Get kids to help wash cars 11- 3, - Ask for a donation for each car - Raise $150
2. Ask your employer to donate $50
3. Have a fund raising party: invite friends and neighbors to a Holiday or football watching party, barbecue or picnic ask for at $10 donation. (20 people gets you $200 less cost of food hot dogs, potato salad, chips) and supplies- net $100 or make is a BYOB and a dish to pass event- net $200)
4. Ask four of your friends, co-workers or relatives, church members to donate $25
5. Sell candy or snacks at work. Put out M&M=s, candy bars, cup cakes etc. and a donation can asking for $1 - collect about $10- $15 a week = $80- $100
6. Put Baby Bottle ( or other appropriate container) with as slit cut in it on you desk at work with a label donations needed, help _________ - $50
7. Wrap Christmas presents at a store or mall. $250 or more
8. Get ten families to donate $25 - $250
9. Hold An Avon -- Mary Kay -- Tupperware other other Party Fund Raiser - $100
10. Hold a Garage Sale - have neighbors, friends and relatives donate items- $200
