Halloween Fright
There's something eerie lurking about. Does it walk, does it crawl, Does it slither around? The wind rustles the leaves, or was something Behind me? Is it far, is it near, is it Sneaking up on me? My heart pounds ever so fast, as fear trickles Down my spine. The moon casts shadows on the Corners and trees, could there be something Hiding? Waiting to jump out at me? Screeches and howls- giggles and screams. Almost to the door, Nothing is what it seems. I feel a hand on my shoulder And let out a scream. I slowly turn just to see, And in a sigh of relief... It's only a group of Trick or Treaters! Seems the trick was on me!!!!
