Cut paper strips about 2 inches wide and 5 inches long out of different colored
construction paper. You will need a strip for each day until the special event.
Fold the first strip into a loop and either glue or staple it closed.
Add another strip to the first loop and make another loop and either glue it
or staple it closed.
Repeat step 2 until you have used all the strips of paper.
Remove a link each day until the loops are all gone and the special day is
here.
** TIPS **
You can use old gift wrap instead of construction paper for a birthday countdown.
You can use any paper for any occasion and make it more fun and personalized.
Add a special note or message to the strips of paper before you make the loop.
Everyone will be surprised when they find a message and read it.
