A Mother

Markings of life
ageless wonders.
The passing of
changes forever.
Cradles of creations
from love on end.
The biggest heart
in the world.
And always your greatest friend-
She's your mother...

For My Granny, On Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to a beautiful
woman who has fulfilled the life of
every person she's ever encountered.
And in my life, you have bought so much
completion and jollity.
Thank you for being an incredible part
of my existence and of who I am now.
You've shaped my being in so many
ways, guided my path with a gentle .
My Granny, the most vibrant Gardenia
in the garden, stands gracefully above
the rest. Every soft petal as sweetly
scented as the next, every petal richly
sculpted to be striking and supple.
Thank you for giving me so many
memories to look back on and cherish
for the rest of my years. Always know
how much I love you and that I am
always thinking about you.

Happy Mother's Day, Granny.

On Mother's Day
- and every day I hope your heart is full of happiness
and every inch is filled with love.
Your fondest dreams become reality
and your soul flies- free as a dove.
A special wish and thank you for
being the mother that you are.
When I look up to the midnight sky
I'm reminded of you when I see the
brightest shinning star.
On Mother's Day
- and every day
Be the woman that you are; a friend,
a mother, a grandmother and wife-
to all the people these things you are.

Happy Mother's Day, Mom

What a Mother Is

-A Mother is
Love and understanding
Time without ending
A cup of comfort late at night
A warm blanket wrapped around you tight.
-A Mother is
The healer of a scrapped knee
The monster buster when they invade your dreams, the one who pulls the covers under your chin and reads a bed time story so you can sleep again.
-A Mother is
A petal from a Rose soft upon your skin
A subtle scent of a Lily that tickles your nose so that you smell it again
The soft trickle of water running down a small brooks bedded rocks
The whisper of the wind on a warm sunny day.
-A Mother is
The sunrise of your morning
The smell of coffee brewing
The sound of birds chirping
The nurturing rain during your day
The tune of your favorite song
The shapes in the billowed clouds
The sunset of your evening.
The sweet dreams you'll be keeping
-A Mother is
The profile of your life
An ear without judging
A bucket full of laughter
The key to your locked secrets
The quiet that you enjoy
-A Mother is
Above all else your dearest friend
Always there when you need
The greatest advice given
The spontaneous moment of laughter when you're all by yourself.
-My Mother is
All the above and the some.
