Seasons of Parenting
by Kelly Croslis

seasons parentingAs Spring begins a promise of newness comes to mind. We think of what is to come in the very near future. The months ahead are full of celebration, joy and excitement. We celebrate the joy of motherhood, with flowers, cards and unconditional love only a mother can bring. What would mother’s day be without thinking of our fathers; our protector and guide? For a day we can give time with the TV and sports with no interruptions; something that doesn’t always happen.

June also brings thoughts of weddings. It seems to be the most popular month. Maybe it’s the beginning of summer and all the newness of it beings hope to people.

As the summer progresses vacations become the priority of most. A time to relax, be with family and put life’s trouble’s behind for awhile as we enjoy the world as God intended it to be. We weren’t made to be constantly on the go, we need the rest.

As summer come to a close, we become almost nostalgic as we look over the last few weeks and look forward to school starting, the holidays and before know it a whole new year will begin and the process once again plays out.

Even with all the predictability of our lives, we still look forward to the days of summer and the joy it brings to our lives.
