Eyes of Italy
The tide was high as I stood on the peer
watching the waves ripple past me.
It was then that I turned my head to look
when I felt his presence entice me.
His dark eyes locked onto mine and I was
indulged into a chocolate fantasy.
I couldn't look away- I couldn't break the
stare, not with all the power with in me.
It was then that he spoke with such emotion
and beauty that made
my legs tremble beneath me.
He had a heavy accent and spoke a language
that I couldn't understand. But I smiled as
took my hand and gently put it to his soft lips,
and I thought to myself.....so this is Italy.
