Pool Party Ideas This Summer
Summer is right around the corner and that means it’s time to uncover the pool and think about new party ideas. There are an infinite number of pool party themes to throw this summer. Here is a list of the most popular ideas that will put a new twist on your pool parties and have your guests coming back all summer long!
Swim-in Movie Night Pool Party
This party only requires a big screen TV outside or a projector on a screen and a floater for everyone. Guests can bring their own rafts or inflatable chairs and just like parking a car at the drive-in movie, they can park their rafts in the pool and enjoy the show! Add to the theme with a popcorn machine and slushies! This is the ideal party to throw if you are looking for a nighttime swim with all of your friends.
Spa Pool Party for the Ladies
Calling all ladies who would love to enjoy a spa day by the pool! Relax poolside or float around the pool after an afternoon of manicures and facials. Create your own homemade facial formulas with household products like honey, olive oil, sugar, cucumbers, and even avocados! Make it a real treat by preparing a cocktail bar complete with fun glasses, tropical fruits and tiny umbrellas.
Pirate Theme for the Kids
This theme is a winner for both boys and girls! Get your kids imaginations running with this fun idea for everyone. Send out pirate themed invitations and tell your guests to bring their imaginations and sense of adventure! You can “bury” treasures like diving toys at the bottom of the pool and make a scavenger hunt for the kids. There are many ways to play this game, for instance, splitting them into teams and having a race to see which team can find all of the color coded toys first. Turn the diving board into a plank that the “losing” team has to walk off. Top off your theme by serving what the pirates eat; fish sticks, tropical drinks and gold chocolate coins.
Mexican Fiesta Theme for Everyone
Everyone loves a fiesta! Invite your friends over for a swim in a fiesta atmosphere. Set the mood with fun colorful decorations, salsa music and party lights. Add a Margarita bar for the adults and a walking taco buffet for the kids. Piñatas are also a staple in any fiesta. Hang a few in the backyard for decoration or to actually fill and take a swing at. Don’t forget to add chips and salsa!
