It's Swim Suit Shopping Time--Oh My!
by Greta Jenkins
Every year as the swim suit season draws near, I dread the annual swim suit shopping excursion! No matter how close to, or far away, I am from my weight goal. No matter if I had
been exercising or not, to get in shape. I never feel good about myself as I try on the newest swim suit styles. Why is this? I ask myself. Once I buy the swim suit, take it
home and wear it a few times, I'm fine, comfortable-- or just don't care anymore about how it looks. It is summer, it's hot and the pool is refreshing.
Who is designing these suits anyway? Certainly, they have not been looking at the average women, most of us do not have a body that is a stick or a balloon. We tend to be in the
middle. The newest U.S. obesity statistics show that 30% of us are really obese, the rest of us are maybe close, but not there yet. Don't they realize those little skirts
designed to cover the tummy bulge only make it look bigger, that high cut legs, a small piece of material in the seat just don't cut it, and large flowers are not that
attractive on most people!. Why do I have feel ancient in the suits that cover you the most? Is it because there are they are baggy and blousey? All I want a plain suit the
makes me look reasonably attractive.
I have no vision of looking like a movie star, just OK. Why is it that it takes going to the four or five stores and trying on the 25 swim suits to find one. One year, I went to
the swim suit Super Store where they have two floors of swim suits. This I thought was the solution to my swim suit buying dilemma. But in fact, I left there three
exhausting and disappoint hours later-- too many choice is not a good thing either.
Well, This year I have found the solution I'm shopping online for a swim suit!--No dressing room tri- mirrors to content with or going store to store. A cup of coffee, my
monitor and keyboard and me! Good luck with your swim suit buying adventure too!
