Voluntary Recall of Bravo Farms Dutch Style Gouda Cheese Due to Health Risk

Bravo Farms is voluntarily recalling all Dutch Style Gouda because it may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. E. coli O157:H7 causes diarrhea illness often with bloody stools. Although most healthy adults can recover completely within a week, some people can develop a form of kidney failure. Young children and the elderly are most susceptible to serious complications and even death.

Only found families online magazine today via your article on "Holiday Presents, Children and Creativity." Great article which will certainly influence my the choice of outstanding presents for my kids this Christmas. Anyway, couldn't help replying to this thread based on an amazing coincidence. My husband's been very ill for a couple of weeks with an E.coli infection. We live on the UK but he visited the US on business and became ill shortly after returning. We've been analysing what he's been eating and unbelievably he did go to a cheese and wine night the day before he became ill and ate some Gouda cheese. His colleague that attended the event has also been really ill. Am not sure whether it's the same manufacturer or indeed whether it's somthing else that they might have eaten that day but nevertheless finding this post is quite weird!
