 
Deana's Plus Size Bridal Outlet located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our business idea for buying and selling bridal gowns at a low cost came from a need for a dress when I got married in October 2004. The size that was needed was a super plus size and you couldn't locate a wedding gown anywhere, that wasn't going to cost you in excess of $800.00. I searched high and low and found many beautiful dresses that could be ordered through a retailer, but the mark-up was just astonishing. I found a mark-up to be anywhere from 300-600%. I contacted the manufacturer that I found the dress through, and the buy price for a bridal shop was $139.00, but at the bridal store, the cost was $899.00. That didn't include the extra material cost for a dress larger than a 24W. The bridal shop also charged what they call an "up-charge" of $50.00 for any dress over that 24W.
At this time, I decided to begin the journey of locating manufacturers that would custom make dresses and sell these dresses to a bridal outlet store for a reasonable price. I was just amazed that there were many companies that believed the same way I do. Thousands upon thousands of couples get married each year. Every women should be able to look and feel like a beautiful princess on their wedding day without spending their life savings on a dress. I then decided what 6 manufacturers I would sign business partner agreements with, and the rest is history.
All of the wedding dress manufacturers I work with are not located here in the United States. These women and men are people who need to support their families by making beautiful dresses and not making big profits. I also have two children of my own. Our belief is to make an honest living, not having our customers pay for fancy buildings, brand new cars, and several employee salaries. We operate Deana's Plus Size Bridal Outlet primarly from our computer and soley from our home.
Here is a few examples of the wedding dresses we have available to us and the price. Remember, the price for each wedding dress is the same no matter what size you order. The only additional cost is the shipping from our business to the buyer, once we have inspected the dress throughly once received from the manufacturer.
