Work At Home Moms--Back to School, what this means for YOU!
Back to Business
by Jamie Edson Opielski
Do you hear that? "Hear what?" You might ask…. Exactly! Quietness, no screaming and fighting kids! No one pulling on your shirt, shaking you shoulder so hard your head nearly rolls off to the floor. That's right; the kids are back in school! And though I love my children dearly even though I get a little frustrated every now and then it sure is great that summer break has come to an end. Not only is it great for my sanity, but for my home business as well. I can work for several hours straight with out getting whiplash from all the shoulder shaking and arm tugging!
My work ethic has become more disciplined, especially during the time when my pre-kindergartners are at school. It's only three hours, but it also happens to be the most crucial time of my work day. It's when I make important phone calls, have conferences/meetings, and really crunch down on work that takes 100% of my attention and concentration. And of course, I try to squeeze in a little cleaning, like mopping so that little feet aren't getting my wet floor all dirty again. I have though learned that if I want the floor to stay clean longer than an hour, to do it at night time.
Now I need to tackle my book and get it off to the publisher- so I can get back to business!
