Parenting by the Book: Happy children for Dummies
Raising Happy Children for Dummies
Today, Surrey based professional parent coach and published author Sue Atkins, director of her own parent coaching company, Positive Parents – Confident Kids Coaching is delighted to announce the official launch of the latest addition to the world renowned Dummies series of books, ‘Raising Happy Children for Dummies’.
The book, released under the famous ‘yellow and black’ brand really is the essential guide to improving your parenting skills. A must read collection of practical hints, tips and advice that arms every parent with the knowledge they need to become a more confident and able parent.
Contrary to the ‘Dummies’ brand name, you don’t have to be one to read the book. Many parents very quickly realise that ‘kids don’t come with a handbook’ and Raising Happy Children for Dummies recognises this by introducing the most complete and comprehensive collection of simple new parenting skills and techniques, which are both practical and manageable that every parent can easily embrace to make positive change within their family lives.
Some of the key issues covered in this book include; coping with the stresses of parenting, enforcing discipline and handling conflict, coping with key stages and changes in a child’s life such as divorce and step families, as well as issues such as bed wetting, phobias, Dyslexia, eating disorders and ADHD.
Sue draws her insight collectively from her wealth of experience as a parent, from her former position of deputy head teacher and from her career of running her successful parent coaching company.
Sue’s reputation stands before her within the coaching industry, which is supported by an array of professional qualifications, which
include her Diploma in Life Coaching from the world
renowned Coaching Academy and her NLP Master
Practitioner and Trainer status, having been taught by
Dr Richard Bandler the co-founder and creator of NLP
in association with Paul McKenna Training.
Sue comments ‘I help a large number of parents every day to resolve the problems and issues which come to light through daily family life. In many cases parents often just need a change in perspective or an understanding of the tools and techniques they can incorporate into parenting to make significant improvements on the lives of their families. I am therefore delighted to have been responsible for authoring the book that I now see as the ‘bible of parenting’ that every parent has long needed to assist them in improving their parenting abilities”.
