Nearly seven years ago, the very first Gossip Girl novel debuted. Instantly, the young adult book became a success. Not only was it a New York Times bestseller, Gossip Girl affected youth culture. And now, nearly seven years, over ten books, a spin-off series, a prequel and a popular television show later, it’s undeniable that GG has made a huge impact on teen culture.

Though Blair, Serena and the gang have XOXO’d out of Manhattan and headed off to college doesn’t mean that Gossip Girl is gone too. There’s a whole new crew to gossip about. Enter the Carlyle triplets. Newly relocated from Nantucket, Connecticut due to the death of their heiress grandmother and now residing in the old Waldorf-Rose family’s Manhattan penthouse, the Carlyle’s, members of a prominent New York society family quickly become the envy-and competition- of their peers. Baby is a spunky troublemaker who pines for the boyfriend she was forced to leave behind, Avery is determined to reach social status by throwing parties and befriending the popular girls, and Owen, the sole male of the family who just wants to find a certain girl he met during the summer. But along with their arrival, the Carlyle’s also bring chockfull of gossip.

Barely into their new life as Manhattan elite, Baby, Avery, and Owen Carlyle have taken New York by storm- and not necessarily in a good way.
