Wrap Up Your Holiday Shopping Under Budget By Michelle P. Sharrow, MBA
Black Friday officially pushed us in the shopping season 2007 holidays. Hopefully, most of you have followed the advice of my past two columns and is close to finishing their holiday shopping. If you are not, rest assured there are still deals to be taken and elegant and wonderful ways to save.
Home Shopping Network A great way to save time and money is ending some of their holiday shopping from the comfort of your home with the help of networks home shopping. In fact shopping via QVC or the Home Shopping Network (HSN.com) can be done at any time of day. The shipping costs are also very reasonable. Purses for his mother to NFL merchandise for the football lover on your list, there are many gift options to tickle the fancy of your love ones and friends. Another great feature of these networks of home shopping is that you can shop watching TV or visiting their online website. If you decide to watch the broadcast any deal you see will be available with midnight the same day. Finally, on select merchandise, it offers easy pay plans where the total purchase price extended by about two to a maximum of six facilities is so small. The facilities would be automatically charged to your credit card each month until the balance is paid in full.
Give nontraditional gifts October sales for most major retailers were very sad. For this reason, along with a very mild fall, great deals can be found on clothing and merchandise during the fall shopping season 2007 holidays. Since the fall merchandise consists of long sleeve shirts and light sweaters, consider snatching up some of them at deep discounts. Your gift recipients can easily layering tops for a unique and fashionable look while keeping warm the coldest months. They look good and you save.
Out of the box ideas Christmas falls on Tuesday this year. Depending on when you decide to visit all his family and friends, you could wait a few days after Christmas to take items in after Christmas sales. While stores can be tightened with people exchanging goods, deep discounts are also possible.
With gas prices at record levels, another great idea outside the box gift is a gift card a discount club like Sam’s Club, BJs store or Costco. Recipients can use pump gas or merchandise in the store. Do not know anyone who would not appreciate that no matter what is the value of the card. Of course this idea is only good for those on their lists that you know and have memberships to these retailers.
The last minute shopping holiday need not break the bank. Continue thinking outside of the box and scoring weekly store ads through this month in search of business. With every gift you give, always remember that it is the thought that counts. Do not spend more than you can comfortably afford and assumes no new debt to please anyone.
