When you think, “home cooked meal,” meatloaf is probably the first image to come to mind, making it perfect for cozy family gatherings. Keeping an easy meatloaf recipe up your sleeve this season will take all the stress out of feeding a large group, and you can be sure that everyone will be well-fed and happy.
Try this Home-Sweet-Home Meatloaf; it only takes 20 minutes to throw together and uses basic ingredients you probably already have in your cupboard. Serve with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies for a hearty, filling and delicious meal.

Serves: 6 (257 calories per serving)
1 8-oz can Tomato Sauce
2 tablespoons firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 pound ground sirloin beef (90% lean)
1 14.5-oz can Diced Tomatoes with Sweet Onions, drained
1 cup dry unseasoned bread crumbs
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a shallow baking pan with aluminum foil; spray foil with cooking spray and set aside. Mix tomato sauce and sugar in a small bowl; set aside.
Combine meat, diced tomatoes, bread crumbs and eggs; shape into a loaf in your prepared pan.
Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and pour tomato sauce mixture over meatloaf. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 25 to 30 minutes, or until meatloaf is no longer pink in the middle (a meat thermometer should read 160°F). Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting into 6 slices to serve.
